Python

Python is a programming Languague. It can be used on a server to create web applications. It was created in 1991 by Guido Van Rossum.

It can works on different platforms. It has a simple syntax. By using these simple syntax allows the developers to write the programs in fewer lines. Ultimately it minimizes the lines of code compared to other programming languages.

Python files extension:

The python file having the extension of .py For example take a python file and saves it as example.py

print "you are entered into the world of python....!"

Run the program:
$ python example.py

Comments in python:

If the program is getting bigger and difficult to read, maintain. so, it is good to write some notes or some documentation for the understandability of the code. For these reasons, using the short notes called comments "hash sign (#)" .

# First comment
print "Hello, Python!" # second comment

Python Functions:

Python function is a sequence of statements that execute in a certain order i.e., given a name. Functions having the feature of code reusability. Functions are of two types. One is user-defined functions and another one is built-in functions.

Keywords in Python:

Keywords in python are reserved words that cannot be used as ordinary identifiers. They must be spelled exactly as they are written.

The following are the list of keywords for the python programming language:

                and          del           from           not         while
                 as          elif          global          or         with
                 assert      else           if            pass        yield
                 break       except         in            raise       continue
                 finally       is          return          def          for
                 lambda        try         import         print        class
                  exec

Explanation about keywords in python:

print :

It is used to print data into the console
>>> print "technigally"
technigally

while:

It is used to controlling the flow of the program and the while loop can execute a set of statements as long as the condition is true.

   Example:
	        x = 0;
                while (x < 5):
                print(x)
                x += 1

   Output would be like:
		  0
		  1
		  2
		  3
		  4

if:

If the condition is true, then it goes into the loop and executes the statements. If the condition is not true, then it comes out of the loop.

   Example:
	  if num >= 0:
          print("Positive or Zero")

else:

If the condition is true, it executes the if condition statements and if the condition is false it goes into the else loop

  Example:
              num = 3
              if num >= 0:
                      print("Positive or Zero")
              else:
                      print("Negative number")
